Emerge Young Professionals
The Emerge Program is a full year program that teaches a range of skills to inspire confidence, trust, focus, accountability, innovation, teamwork and communication. Each participant will action their learning through a project chosen by their employer with guidance from the AELC. With workshops facilitated by experts in the field and a range of activities that broaden out their experience each participant will leave prepared to embrace their future and take responsibility for their success within the company! Most leadership programs are irrelevant to Generation Y’s who have big ambitions but little experience. The Emerge Young Professionals program is designed to develop up core management expertise alongside corporate leadership ability and has a large experiential component to enable participants to trial concepts with a safety net. It is challenging and exciting and has major benefits to both the organisation and the participant. Enrolments are being taken now for the 2009 program. Why develop a leadership program just for Gen Y?The only way to retain Generation Y is to train and develop them, challenge and excite them and harness their unique abilities for the best organisational effect. That is where the Emerge program comes in. Designed to inspire and challenge talented Y’s this program is aimed at developing leadership potential with the side benefit of retaining them for longer within the organisation. Emerge will help participants develop an understanding of their internal career paths and allow them to connect more deeply and contribute to the organisations growth and development. Who should participate and whenThis program is aimed at Emerging Leaders. The ideal timing for the program is the year after the Graduate program is completed or as a non graduate program for other Gen Y’s with leadership potential with a year or more of organisational experience.
