Experiential Learning
AELC Methodology

Experiential education is a philosophy and methodology in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills and clarify values.
An experiential educator’s role is to organise and facilitate direct experiences that will lead to genuine (meaningful and long-lasting) learning. This often also requires preparatory and reflective exercises.
The AELC’s trademark programs all use this methodology to engage participants in a holistic way. We create learning that reflects the needs of the participants and the environment in which they work. Our programs are unique and often involve competition, camps and projects with real outcomes.
This methodology is extremely effective in educating Gen Y and we have won many Australian and International awards for our innovative development programs.
AELC works with University, Government, Corporations and individuals.
AELC programs have an integrated underpinning set of theories and learning’s that thread throughout all learning modules. These are delivered through simulation, practice and special projects to ensure real, embedded learning rather than the common ‘recall and repetition’ so frequently favoured by many teaching organisations. There is always a challenge component that engages participants and drives excellence in outcomes.
